Endowed by a Creator

Thomas Jefferson, in the Declaration of Independence wrote that humans “are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” But were these just the thoughts of our founding fathers, or were these the thoughts of our Creator, who determined to give us these rights? Do we appreciate these rights? How does God desire that we use these rights, and how do we protect the loss of them?
