Our worship service is designed to bring us together to worship God, and to receive instruction that will encourage us to draw near to Him. We incorporate prayer, contemporary worship music and hymns, scripture reading, and Bible-based teaching in our service. At Rock Valley Christian Church, coming together to worship is more than just gathering for a service, it is gathering together to share our lives with one another through Godly fellowship. We invite you to stay after the service so we can get to know you.
We value our children at Rock Valley. We have a family church format, and all children participate in the worship service with their parents. For those with babies under 18 months, a Quiet Room with a view into the Sanctuary is available for feeding or quieting. For those with children age 0-3 who are being overly noisy, a non-staffed Nursery is available, as needed, with the worship service available via computer video streaming. Bible School is offered during the sermon for ages 3-12. See our Children’s Ministry page for more information. Parents are welcome to have their children with them in the Sanctuary for the entire service.

Why do we meet on Saturday?
It’s simple! We truly believe the Ten Commandments are relevant to us today. As such, we are committed to honoring the seventh day of the week as holy time set apart by God at the creation of the world (Genesis 2:1-3, Exodus 20:8-11, Luke 4:16, Mark 2:27-28). For Biblical teaching on this subject, listen to our sermons on the 4th Commandment and the Sabbath, or study it for yourself in our Bible Study, “Why We Meet on Saturday”.
