These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

Prayer with Purpose

Prayer with Purpose

There are three general reasons we pray to God, to praise Him, to thank Him, and to petition Him for our needs. Often, we fall short when it comes to praising and thanking Him, but this can easily be fixed by simply trying harder. Petitioning God in prayer occurs much more often and is a bit more complex because “needs” can be your own or those of others, and petitioning God should be done correctly if we want God to hear our prayer and act on it. In this teaching, we will explore the scriptures to find guidance regarding what our good Father expects from us when we pray for our own needs AND when we pray for the needs of others.
