Which Mindset Are You Living?

What does worrying about tomorrow reveal about our faith in God’s provision?  In this Feast of Tabernacles sermon, we contrast two very different ways of thinking: the scarcity mindset and the abundance mindset. Scarcity produces fear of tomorrow, hoarding, anxiety, lack of faith, and a desire to control the future. By contrast, abundance produces gratitude, generosity, joy, and confidence in God’s promises.

The Feast reminds us that God is the source of every increase and that His people are commanded to rejoice in His blessings. The question is not simply how much we have, but what we do with what we have—and what that reveals about our faith in the One who provides it.  Both mindsets are contagious. Fear spreads, but so does faith, thankfulness, generosity, and joy. Which one are we choosing to live and to pass on to others?
