1 Peter 5:6

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him for he cares for you.

God wants us to humble ourselves under his mighty hand.  You know it’s a very interesting thing to think about that God wants to demonstrate himself to be God in our lives.  To show us how much he loves us, how much he cares about us, and he tells us the cast our cares upon him because he does care for us.  Do you have the kind of relationship with God where you look to him to raise you up in due time? Where you look to him to help you through whatever it is that you’re facing. Where you look to him to carry the burdens of your cares in life.

God wants us to know how much he loves us and he wants us to put our faith and trust in him as our father to help us through whatever we’re facing in our lives.  Maybe you’re going through some hardship right now, maybe you’re going through some struggles in life and God wants to know that whatever it is that you’re seeking, he is there to help you.  He knows what is best for you, he knows what you need, and he’s asking for you to trust him that he will work all things together for good for you.

So cast your cares upon him.  So let’s take some time right now to think about how we can humble ourselves before his mighty hand, how we can look for him to be God in our lives, how we can trust in his power his love and his wisdom to work things out. And then let’s take all the things that were anxious about, things that were caring about, things that are burdening us in our lives and let’s just lay them all at his feet knowing that he will take care of everything for us.  Knowing that he cares for us.  God loves you very much.  He wants to help you in the ways that you need, he wants to bless you and give you favor and grace so that you may abound in his blessings.  So let’s give all our cares to him.  Let’s do it right now.  Let’s pray.
